About Heritage Club

Heritage Club is one of the premier golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area, residing on southern Grand Strand. Built on the site of the former True Blue and Midway Plantations, not only does Heritage offer 18 holes of exquisite golf, it is also a historically significant piece of ground, with two holes playing beside and over centuries-old cemeteries.

Heritage Club was originally developed by Larry Young and Dan Maples on a tract of land more than 600 acres in size. It has been ranked among the top public courses in the country by Golf Digest and other publications in recent years. The golf course winds its way by centuries-old like oak trees, some of which guard especially historic ground. The first example is just behind the green of the par four fourth hole, where the members of the family that used to maintain the original plantation are buried. Four holes later, a sign stands by the tee boxes announcing that the land some 50 yards ahead is a slave burial ground. As if the pond short of the green on the par three 8th hole was not intimidating enough! The par five 18th hole is an excellent risk-reward hole, giving players who successfully take on a lake in two shots a chance for an eagle putt.

Heritage Club’s off-course facilities are exquisitely appointed. In addition to a grass driving range, players can use a large practice putting and chipping green is broad and undulating, making for many potential pre- or post-round contests. The elegant clubhouse contains a grille and attractive outdoor seating area, open seasonally.
